I was referred to this Surgeon from my trusted family physician, Dr. Jennifer Kenyon was well equipped taking on my high risk pregnancy. She was confident, which gave me confidence, and my worries became so minor, as I could feel like I was in good hands. I have a hard time trusting any medical systems, or Doctors, and finding a surgeon that fit my needs so quickly was honestly a blessing. Dr. Kenyon works in a team of 5, at the Abbotsford hospital, she is really understanding, and ensured she would be the one to deliver my baby girl, as she could sense my apprehension regarding my delivery. I was high risk all 3 of my pregnancies, but, I have to admit, this last delivery via cesarean was the best experience without question. She took the time to create a birth plan with me, keeping every detail in mind, including the location of my new scar, and correcting the old scar, which had been done by a Doctor in Edmonton. Dr. Jennifer Kenyon showed empathy, as I described how the scar affected me emotionally, as a woman, and utilized the opportunity to ensure the surgery would not create the same issue as I had in the past. I had a hard time making my weekly appointments, due to the floods, and transportation to and from appointments, but, when I met up with her at the hospital on surgery day, just seeing her blue eyes gave me comfort. I knew I was in good hands, she was gentle and delivered me a healthy baby girl, just like she told me.. my baby girl is perfect! She’s passed all her tests, including heart tests, hearing tests, we made it home without any issues, and are looking forward to seeing her, at our 6 week post op recommended appointment. Thanks so much for everything, to the Abbotsford maternity ward. I enjoyed my experience, and would recommend the hospital and Dr. Jennifer Kenyon along with her team of five to anyone interested in a safe and positive delivery experience. :)
